His research focuses on AI-enabled smart home systems that support health monitoring and risk mitigation for high-risk populations, particularly older adults living alone. By integrating passive sensing technologies with multimodal and explainable AI, he develops context-aware frameworks for detecting early signs of health deterioration and informing in-home behavioral management. His work emphasizes continuous, personalized support in residential settings and contributes to implementing the 4P healthcare paradigm in daily living environments.

Hi, My name is Daehwa Baek. The spaces of great architecture all across the world transcend their own meanings and imagery. It guides people's lives toward a healthier and happier future. To be a part of that movement and energy, I would like to research a space that focuses more on people.

“Faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love ♥. I am passionate about designing resilient urban spaces by leveraging big data and AI to analyze how the built environment affects elderly pedestrian mobility and to predict and manage diverse risks—traffic accidents, crime, fires, and natural disasters—so that transportation- and safety-vulnerable populations can live with confidence. In particular, I’m especially interested in how extreme weather events driven by climate change affect pedestrian safety and overall urban vulnerability—and in turning those insights into practical, climate-adaptive design strategies.

People create spaces, live within them, and are deeply influenced by them. I am particularly interested in identifying both tangible and intangible elements within the built environment that negatively impact physical and mental health, and in designing healthier environments through this understanding.

Halo! My name is Joung. Inevitably, we all age and become more vulnerable. My aim is to contribute to the development of a society where everyone can enjoy the benefits of future cities by proposing evidence-based design guidelines that would improve the living environments of the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

Architecture is an academic discipline that achieves freedom, harmony, and inclusiveness of space so that everyone can live happily without being marginalized (regardless of gender, age, and various situations). Based on advanced science and technology, I want to become a researcher who helps everyone enjoy the value of modern cities. In particular, I want to contribute to creating sustainable urban spaces through research on new paradigms of residential spaces.

Hello! I'm Jiwoo Kim. My research focuses on understanding what makes people stay in and return to certain spaces through a data-informed lens. By analyzing the form of architectural and urban environments along with patterns of movement and people response, I aim to uncover how the built environment influences human emotions and experiences, both analytically and intuitively.

Hi! My name is Ekaterina Nizovtseva. My main interest lies in the intersection of crime and urban design. I want to explore how different people perceive safety in the built environment and how these perceptions shape their daily lives.
Hello. My name is Jiwoo Noh. I believe that architecture is not just about form but a vessel that shapes people's movements and daily lives. I aspire to contribute to creating spaces that prioritize human needs while enhancing efficiency and safety in our everyday environments.
